this entry will fall out of sequence with the ones I am also writing in my journal but I thought5 since I had a rare free momment I would at least put something in.
I guess what has been on my mind lately is just how sad ti is to see what our western 'advanced' culture has done to such ahppy people and sucha beautiful place. There is plastic and aluminum cans everywhere. No landfills on small isalnds and the one lagoon can not be swam in due to pollution and medical waste. They are now experienceing unwanted pregnancy alchohalism drug use theft all the modern thigns thatw ere unheard of ehre until the lovely missionaries came to town.
Now we are making them modern and they are reaping our rewards. Hopefuly I am not adding on to this in any way. I am really going to try and not influence them with any of my american culture.
I just want to help teach them things that I know. I have been debating alot with other vollunteers on many of these issues. especialy teaching them english for the sake of helping them enter the global market.
How long can every country's economy keep expanding before the world is just saturated with busineeses and industry and the resources are gone? I dont think too much longer.
