It has been a while,
I have had a lot of diferent things on my mind at various points in time but without instant access to the computer I have let them drift off as so many do and now I sit here with only one thing I can think of I wish to express.
I am in shere awe that CBS is refusing to air an ad by moveon.org.
America is sliding more and more into a place controlled by a few companies and fmailies placating the masses with the same sterilized drivel on TV and the radio. Americans for the most part seem happy with this, our culture has stopped emphasizing any level of critical thinking and this is what it results in. People who are proud of not knowing anything, wearing their ignorance as a badge of honour when it comes to politics or economics or global issues.
As long as they have their tv's and 3 cars they dont care what else happens anywhere.
30,000 people where killed in Iran, ver 10 tiems as many people then died on september 11th. From what I can tell there was very little outreach from america to iran. We are so arogant as to assume when tragedy strikes us the whole world should come running and when it hits other people we simply shrug it off.
America is now the land of the uneducated arrogant.
I hope that at some point americans will see hwats going on realize they are being lied to and used but I doubt it, people simply dont care unless it affects them personaly. They would need to lose their jobs or their creature comforts before anything will ever get done.
If we only spent a small portion of our military spending on humanitarian and epaceful endevors we would not need sucha military pressense because other ocuntries would not despise us.
